OBJECTIVES
Objectives of the High School Department
By graduation the student of USC South Campus BED High School has developed systematically his powers of observation, memory, imagination, thinking, and reasoning toward the acquisition of the basic skills essential to secondary education and eventually for further education and the initiative to live out his Trinitarian Way of Life.
The USC South Campus BED High School Student:
1. Manifest the true Christian Spirit by living out the Trinitarian spiritually as shown by the following:
- 1.1 understanding of the Catholic Church’s teaching s of Jesus Christ and His
redeeming mission;
- 1.2 having some personal experiences of God while on a retreat, in liturgical
prayer, or in some other religious activities;
- 1.3 forming a Christian conscience and evaluating moral choices in the light of
the Catholic faith;
- 1.4 learning through his own failure of the need for healing and reconciliation
with friends, family, church, and the Lord; and
- 1.5 understanding the relationship between faith in Jesus and being a fellow missionary.
2. Uses the basic knowledge and skills acquired by:
- 2.1 communicating effectively in writing and speaking engaging in wholesome
listening and reading activities and expressing himself creatively through the
art;
- 2.2 engaging in logical and critical thinking to analyze and evaluate
contemporary issues;
- 2.3 developing accuracy in style, in thought, and expression both in written and
oral forms;
- 2.4 applying scientific and computational skills in problem solving situations;
- 2.5 analyzing social problems and issues and their effects on human communities
and ecology as well as involving himself in resolving them; and
- 2.6 using appropriate criteria in making aesthetic judgments
3. Observes the Filipino family tradition of love and respect for elders.
4. Foster genuine love of country.
5. Is sensitive and systematic to he poor and less privileged segments of the community through his active leadership and involvement in socially oriented projects.
